SUMMARY
(Description based on the identification key in Jeannel, 1936)
• Habitus short-oval, neither convex nor flattened
• The pronotum broad, sides curved in the basal part
• Elytra short, one and a half times as long as wide, more or less narrowed at the end
• Antennal club darkened, with the final article pale
• 6th antennomere very broad
• Winged
• Elytral striae very fine and superficial, very close together
• 2nd antennomere smilar to the 3rd
• Black, very large and flattened
• Penis very stocky, broad, with the apical part not bent downward; apex short and two-pronged
• Externally like P. varicornis
• Male metatibiae strongly bent inwards
• Length 3.5-4.0 mm
