La faune souterraine des Pyrénées; Subterranean fauna of the Pyrenees

We present here the different zoological groups colonizing subterranean ecosystems in the Pyrenees, especially of the order Coleoptera. We outline the need to correct gaps in sampling, particularly in high altitude areas, until recently considered to lack cave life, and discuss the contribution of speleologists to the knowledge of subterranean fauna.
