Ptomaphagus chendae Müller

(Description based on the identification key in Jeannel, 1936):

• Habitus short-oval, neither convex nor flattened
• The pronotum broad, sides curved in the basal part
• Elytra short, one and a half times as long as wide, more or less narrowed at the end
• Antennal club darkened, with the terminal antennomere paler
• 6th antennomere broader than long
• Winged
• Habitus elongated and convex
• Elytral striae distinct and rasp-like, not  very close together (as in Pt. subvillosus)
• Antennae with a broad shaft, like in Pt. varicornis
• 3rd antennomere almost as long and broad as the 2nd
• 4th antennomere a little shorter than the 3rd, but clearly longer than broad
• Metatibiae straight
• Penis very elongated, narrow, flattened and smooth in the apical part; the apex short and uninterrupted
• Length 2.8-3.2 mm
