Abstract:

A new cave-dwelling species from the Cantabrian region: Quaestus (Speogeus) jubilationis n. sp. (Coleoptera: Leiodidae: Cholevinae: Leptodirini)
A new species belonging to the subgenus Speogeus Salgado, 1985, Queastus (Speogeus) jubilationis n. sp. is described. The taxonomic position is discussed, based on morphological characters, the aedaegus and the spermathecal complex. A new identification key to the species of the subgenus is proposed.
