Ptomaphagus subvillosus
General description:
(Description based on the identification key in Jeannel, 1936)
• Habitus short-oval, neither convex nor flattened
• The pronotum broad, sides curved in the basal part
• Elytra short, one and a half times as long as wide, more or less narrowed at the end
• Antennal club unicolorous
• 2nd antennomere as long and wide as the 3rd
• Antennae thick, with an inflated, black club
• Antennal shaft wide
• 6th antennomere wider than long
• Striae strong and rasp-like, not very densely placed
• Apex of the penis long, nearly parallel, at the end with a blunt angle
• Length 2.8-3.5 mm
