Abstract:

Four new taxa are described: Paulipalpina ecuatoriana sp. nov., Adelopsis aptera sp. nov., Adelopsis bilobulata sp. nov. and Adelopsis punctata sp. nov. is reported for the first time the presence of specimens of the genera Parapaulipalpina, with P. giachinoi Salgado, 2005, and Paulipalpina, with P. ecuatoriana sp. nov., from Ecuador, besides Adelopsis crassiflagellata Gnaspini & Peck, 2001. The taxonomic position of all species is discussed and data on distribution and biology are provided. A key is given for the species of the genus Paulipalpina and establishing "species groups" in the genus Adelopsis in which are included all the species known up to the present.
